The President JKFGA S. Tajinder Singh said the exploring penitential of international market is a good step for the promotion of commercial floriculture in J&K state, But we should not forget the real fact that India itself is a market of 1200 corers of fresh flowers annually and our state has a potential for flower market not less that 50 croces. International companies recommended our state as a best place for growing any type of flower bulbs and producing aromatic oils in which we have a monopoly over rest of the India.
But before talking about exports we neec to raise our standard to the international levels.
He appealed to the Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on behalf of flower growers Of the state to direct Chief Sectary Of the State S. S. Kapoor to provide necessary Insfrasture like International lavel practical on hand training centre for flower growers, capcity bulding and training ,portable and central cold storages for making cold chain,soil and water testing centres in C.S.S. Rastriya Krishi Vikas Yojna for the development of flower industry in the state.
He further Apealed to govt that one time commercial floriculture policy to be framed with the involvement of experienced technocrates and stake holders to insure the fruitful results from these polices.
