Srinagar, Nov 20- Pakistan today said that any talks between the Indian government and Kashmiri leaders will not be successful without its involvement.
Quoting Pakistani Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi Press Trust of India today said that any bilateral talks between New Delhi and Hurriyat Conference without Islamabad are doomed to fail.
Such talks will "not be successful" unless Pakistan is involved in them, Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi told reporters in his home town of Multan, according to the report.
His comments came a day after a meeting of Hurriyat Conference led by Mirwaiz Umer Farooq in Srinagar, to decide if they should go for talks with New Delhi remained inconclusive, with some of them demanding that all stakeholders, including leaders from outside the separatist amalgam be taken into confidence before going ahead.
Qureshi also denied reports that there were back channels contacts between India and Pakistan.
