Speaking at a public gathering in Qazigund, Malik asked Kashmiri youth to play a constructive role in “strengthening the peaceful and violence-free struggle for freedom” in the state.
“Kashmiris are an oppressed people, and we have to remain steadfast on the path of peace to highlight the human dimensions of our freedom movement before the world,” he said.
“We have acceded to the international appeals of keeping our struggle non-violent. Now it is the moral duty of India, Pakistan and the civil society in the rest of the world to value our positive approach, and work out a permanent and final solution to the Kashmir issue on a priority basis,” Malik said.
