Srinagar, July 12, KONS: Organization of the Islamic Conference today condemned what it called the use of force on the people of Kashmir and urged Indian authorities to respect Kashmiri peoples will and rights.
OIC Secretary General Prof Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu in a statement issued from Jeddah today expressed his deep concern and disappointment at the recent wave of violence against the people of Kashmir by the Indian Police who, according to the statement,  fired at hundreds of stone-throwing protesters in Kashmir on Tuesday the 6th of July, killing and injuring many civilians.
While condemning the continued use of force against the Kashmiri people in the Indian Held Kashmir, Ihsanoglu appealed, once more, to the Indian authorities to avoid excessive use of force and respect the people’s will and rights in order to help improve the security situation in Kashmir.
